Vintage basketball (with personalization first name logo)

Here it is finally, after many years of waiting, we can make our own “vintage basketball” all in leather and especially…. handmade.

Indeed until now we were satisfied with the John Woodbridge basketball but we wanted to go further with a leather out of the ordinary and especially, as always, a 100% vegetable tanning made by hand too.

Yes it takes time and we are more expensive than the simple chrome tanning which erases the roughness that we are looking for on an old leather but at least we can stand out from the competition by claiming to offer the most beautiful basketball of collection. Thanks to the quantities that we are able to manufacture with our workshops and the low costs related to our structure “without store”, the intermediate costs remain controllable to offer you this vintage basketball at a price more than competitive.

Back in the 1900’s, this lace up basketball has 8 leather panels hand sewn from A to Z. It is kept inflated with a natural latex inner tube that we can also provide. All you need is a ball needle. Even if any good sports store will inflate it for free, we strongly advise you to buy a ball pump because this type of old ball pairs air as time goes by. Anyway it keeps its shape and will do well in decoration or collection, it’s just a question of pressure 😉

The handmade basketball gives a more oval aspect to each leather panel unlike an industrial manufacturing which has molds and standardizes the manufacturing.

And what about personalizing your basketball with your name or your son’s name to make him an original gift?

Good news, since recently we can engrave the logo of your choice or write a first name with the font you want directly on the leather of the basketball. The result in a decoration is just beautiful.

Don’t forget to offer your basketball its beautiful oak wood base (100% made in France) which can be adapted to all our other balls (soccer, rugby, etc.) if you want to ensure the small finish that will make the difference as we are proud of our bases.

The vintage basketball is a standard adult size 7 (about 25cm in diameter) and you can play with it if you wish, although it will always be better preserved in your living room.
